Programs
Practical charity with a navigator’s discipline.
Three interlocking programs move resources where neighbors feel them most—classrooms, kitchen tables, and community gatherings.
Program 01
Learning Horizons
Education is the longest-burning lantern on our deck. Learning Horizons pairs students with tutors and mentors for literacy, homework confidence, and college-and-career readiness conversations.
- After-school tutoring circles and reading fluency support
- Youth mentoring with goal-setting and family check-ins
- School-supply drives timed to semester starts
- Volunteer teacher and peer-mentor recruitment
Program 02
Harbor Relief
When storms arrive suddenly—job loss, medical strain, winter utility pressure—Harbor Relief delivers essentials with dignity. Volunteers assemble kits, coordinate pickup points, and follow up so support is not a one-time wave.
- Food pantry partnerships and grocery card assistance
- Hygiene and household essentials distribution
- Seasonal coat and blanket drives
- Referral navigation to local social services
Program 03
Community Compass
Lasting change requires shared maps. Community Compass builds volunteer crews, neighborhood listening sessions, and partnerships with faith groups, schools, and civic clubs so JAHAZI CHARITY remains rooted in local voice.
- Volunteer onboarding and service day logistics
- Community listening forums and needs mapping
- Collaborations with local nonprofits and schools
- Storytelling that centers beneficiary dignity
